The PowerLogic ION8650 series meters are ideal for measuring energy, power quality, and for independent power producers. These meters offer a wide range of functions and overall performance. The metering system can be the solution for transmission or distribution networks. The modular and flexible architecture of ION technology allows for a simple, key-component approach to customizing each meter to any application. It allows the user to access energy analysis, invoice verification, cost allocation, and much more, as well as a range of power quality reports.
With 128 MB of memory to support data logging, alarms, RMS logging, historical logging, transient logging, event logging, electricity consumption logging, GPS synchronization, and usage time. It can record the time of events within +/-1 ms using time synchronization methods including SNTP, IRIG-B, GPS ASCII (RS485), and the grid time setting function. Supply of 1024 samples per cycle with voltage inputs of 57-277 VAC L-N/100-480 VAC L-L; Current inputs of 1 A, 2 A and 5 A.
Wide power supply range thanks to an external power supply: flexible cable of 65-120 V AC or 80-160 V DC. The built-in input/output configuration includes 3 digital inputs, 2 pulse outputs, and 4 relay outputs, plus up to 3 dry contact detection inputs. Multiple communication ports include: RS232/RS485, RS485, infrared (ANSI Type II), and 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet.
Mechanical dimensions are 285 mm high, 163 mm wide, and 228 mm deep, with a product weight of 7 kg. Certified for compliance reporting (EN 50160 ed. 4) and power quality measurement (IEC 61000-4-30 Class A). Distribution board form factor, available in 9/29/35/36S form factor wiring patch panel configurations. With integrated display. Operating environment from -40 to +85 ºC; Nominal humidity from 5% to 95%; Altitude up to 3000 m.
