The PowerLogic ION8650 series meters are ideal for independent power producers, power quality measurement, and energy metering. These meters offer a wide range of features and overall performance. The meter can be the solution for the transmission or distribution network.
ION's modular and flexible architecture enables a simple, key-component approach to customizing each meter to any application. It provides user access to energy analysis, bill verification, cost allocation, and more, along with a range of power quality reports. With 32 MB of memory, it supports data logging, alarms, RMS logging, historical logs, event logs, revenue logs, GPS synchronization, and usage time tracking.
The ability to perform timestamp events at +/-1 ms using time synchronization methods including SNTP, IRIG-B, GPS ASCII (RS485), and network time adjustment. It provides 1024 samples per cycle with voltage inputs of 57-277 V AC L-N / 100-480 V AC L-L; and current inputs of 1 A, 2 A, and 5 A. It offers a wide control power range of 57 to 277 V AC or an external power supply: 65-120 V AC or 80-160 V DC flexible cable.
The integrated input/output configuration includes 3 digital inputs, 2 pulse outputs, and 4 relay outputs, plus up to 3 dry contact detection inputs. Multiple communication ports include RS232/RS485, RS485, infrared (ANSI Type II), and 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet. The mechanical dimensions are 178 mm high, 178 mm wide, and 237 mm deep, with a product weight of 7 kg. It features a socket form factor and is compatible with 9S/29S/36S 3-element, 4-wire or 2.5-element, 4-wire base cabling. It includes an integrated display. Operating environment ranges from -40 to +85°C; nominal humidity from 5% to 95%; and altitude up to 3000 m.
