The PowerLogic ION8650 series meters are ideal for independent power producers, power quality measurement, and energy metering. These meters offer a wide range of features and overall performance. The meter can be the solution for the transmission or distribution network. The modular and flexible architecture of ION technology allows for a simple, key-component approach to customizing each meter to any application. It provides user access to energy analysis, bill verification, cost allocation, and more, as well as a range of power quality reports.
With 64 MB of memory to support data logging, alarms, RMS logging, historical logs, event logs, revenue logs, GPS synchronization, and usage time. It can perform timestamping of events to +/-1 ms using time synchronization methods including SNTP, IRIG-B, GPS ASCII (RS485), and network time adjustment. It provides 1024 samples per cycle with voltage inputs of 57-277 V AC L-N / 100-480 V AC L-L; and current inputs of 1 A, 2 A, and 5 A. A wide control power range is provided by an external power supply: a flexible cable of 65-120 V AC or 80-160 V DC.
The integrated input/output configuration includes two pulse outputs plus up to three dry contact detection inputs. Multiple communication ports include RS232/RS485, RS485, infrared (ANSI Type II), and 10/100 BASE-T Ethernet. Mechanical dimensions are 285 mm high, 163 mm wide, and 228 mm deep, with a product weight of 7 kg. Certified for compliance reporting (EN 50160 ed. 4) and power quality measurement (IEC 61000-4-30 Class S). Distribution board form factor, available in 9/29/35/36S base cable cut panel configurations. Features an integrated display. Operating environment: -40 to +85°C; nominal humidity: 5% to 95%; altitude up to 3000 m.
